Introduction to Our Abuse Policy
At Laywork Limited (“Laywork,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), we are committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and respectful environment for all users of our customer relationship management (CRM) services (“Service”) and website at https://laywork.com (“Site”). This Abuse Policy defines unacceptable uses of the Service and Site, outlines our response to violations, and provides guidance on reporting abuse. By using the Service or Site, you agree to comply with this policy, which supplements our Terms of Service (ToS) and Privacy Policy, both available on the Site. We take abuse seriously and reserve the right to enforce this policy to protect our users, systems, and reputation.

1. Illegal Activities
- Using the Service to engage in or promote illegal activities, such as fraud, phishing, money laundering, or distribution of illegal content (e.g., pirated software, child exploitation material).
- Violating anti-spam laws, telecommunications regulations, or data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, Vietnam’s Personal Data Protection Law).
2. Harmful or Malicious Content
- Uploading, transmitting, or storing content that is harmful, including viruses, malware, worms, Trojan horses, or other malicious code designed to damage systems or data.
- Sending unsolicited communications (e.g., spam emails, bulk SMS) without lawful consent or in breach of recipient opt-out requests.

4. Unauthorized Access or Misuse
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service, Site, or other users’ accounts (e.g., hacking, credential theft).
- Sharing login credentials across multiple users or networks, bypassing security measures, or exceeding API usage limits (e.g., over 10,000 calls/day without approval).
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the Service’s source code.
5. Excessive or Disruptive Use
- Overloading the Service with excessive requests (e.g., API abuse, denial-of-service attempts) that impair its performance or availability for others.
- Using the Service to store or process Sensitive Personal Data (e.g., health records, biometric data) without explicit permission and a lawful basis, as defined in the ToS.
6. Intellectual Property Violations
- Uploading or distributing content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets without proper authorization.
- Misrepresenting ownership of User Data or using the Service to facilitate intellectual property theft.
Our Response to Abuse
Laywork takes prompt action to address abuse and protect our community. Depending on the severity and frequency of the violation, we may:
1. Investigation
- Review reported incidents or detected violations, including account activity logs, User Data, and communication records, within 7 business days.
- Request additional information from the alleged abuser or reporter to assess the situation.
2. Suspension
- Temporarily suspend access to the Service or specific features (e.g., phone services, API) if abuse is suspected, with prior email notice to the Super Administrator unless immediate action is required for security reasons (see ToS Section 8.1).
3. Termination
- Terminate the account immediately for severe or repeated abuse (e.g., illegal activities, security threats) with written notice, or after a 30-day notice period for lesser violations, per ToS Section 8.2. User Data may be deleted post-termination as outlined in the ToS.
4. Legal Cooperation
- Cooperate fully with law enforcement, regulatory authorities, or court orders requesting disclosure of abuser identity or data, ensuring compliance with applicable privacy laws (e.g., GDPR Article 6(1)(c)).
5. No Liability
- Laywork is not liable for losses or damages resulting from abuse by users or third parties, or from our enforcement actions, as detailed in ToS Section 11.
Reporting Abuse
If you encounter or suspect abuse of the Service or Site, we encourage swift reporting to ensure a timely response. Here’s how:
1. How to Report
- Email: Send details to abuse@laywork.com with the subject “Abuse Report.”
- Details Needed: Include your name, contact information, a description of the abuse (e.g., type, date, time), evidence (e.g., screenshots, logs), and the affected account or User (if known).
- Anonymous Reporting: You may report anonymously, though providing contact details helps us follow up if needed.
2. What Happens Next
- We’ll acknowledge your report within 2 business days and investigate within 7 business days, depending on complexity.
- You may receive updates on the outcome (e.g., suspension, termination), though privacy constraints may limit details shared.
3. False Reports
- Submitting knowingly false or malicious reports is itself abuse and may lead to account suspension or termination.
User Responsibilities
To prevent abuse and maintain a compliant environment, you agree to:
- Use the Service solely for legitimate business purposes as outlined in the ToS.
- Monitor your account and Users to ensure compliance with this policy and applicable laws.
- Refrain from uploading Sensitive Personal Data without explicit Laywork approval and a lawful basis (e.g., consent, contract).
- Promptly report any suspicious activity or breaches to support@laywork.com or abuse@laywork.com.
Examples of Acceptable Use
To clarify, here are examples of permitted uses that align with this policy:
- Sending marketing emails to clients who have opted in, with an unsubscribe option.
- Using the CRM to manage customer contacts and sales pipelines for your business.
- Integrating third-party tools via the API within reasonable limits (e.g., under 10,000 calls/day).
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Abuse Policy to reflect changes in our practices, user feedback, or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with an effective date, typically 30 days after posting unless urgent. Continued use of the Service or Site after changes indicates your acceptance. Check back periodically for the latest version.
